GENUS SubTerra™ is a range of underground access chambers that has been developed from a deep understanding and knowledge of many years experience in the design, production, and most importantly; use, of underground access chambers. It brings in the next generation of Pre-formed, Structural design, offering many benefits to network owners and constructors alike.
SubTerra™ is a predominantly component-based stacking ring section chamber system. This offers users a huge size range and the ability for our distribution partners to ship around the world at little cost of transport or shipping. Sections are very easily made from four corners and straight sidewall pieces. Popular sizes are also available as a solid pre-moulded ring section.
SubTerra™ is designed and tested to withstand a 40 tonne vertical load without the need for structural backfill, and some sizes have been tested to exceed 90 tonnes. Lateral loads are designed and have been tested up to 50kN/m2.
Installation is a very fast proccess, typically within 30 minutes of the hole being dug, with duct entries and chamber furniture either factory fitted or simply made on site.
