Raising the standard for elevated walkways
POLYfoot™ Pedestals are a perfect match to our POLYgrate™ floor gratings and sheets. They are ideal to provide elevated walkways and platforms where safe access is required for example; at the side of rail lines, around industrial plants and/or on roofs and on any ground flat or uneven.
Will support vertical loadings of up to 1000 kgs per pedestal
All parts are lightweight. Height spacers screw together to provide a good height range from 12.5mm to over 1200mm with pinpoint mm accuracy and can adjust for cambers/slopes up to 5 degrees from horizontal. A range of top cradles caters to support a I beam, C section or Box section joists or to accept the direct fit of gratings.
Equally at home on roofing; where they will not damage waterproof membranes, are light in weight and can deal with any sloping on the roof but still provide a level platform. Or for walkway support on the ground where they can be concreted into place or bolted down to existing hard standing and again deal with any slopes in to ground.
Each component is UV stable and chemical resistant. In addition; the resultant installation provides good ventilation and drainage under the new surface finish.
Creates spacing for whatever the pedestal is used to support: Composite joists or Grating direct. Holes and bushings provide for means of a mechanical fixing.
The head can either be screwed directly to the base plate or to height extenders. It also accepts a range of Cradles, depending upon what is used.
These parts screw together to increase the height of the pedestal.
Lock the Height Extenders into a solid state when adjustment to the required height is achieved; they can further secured by a locking pin which will prevent this loosening over time
This component has a reverse pitch thread and can be used for final mm accuracy adjustment to the pedestal height.
The base effectively spreads the vertical load. Bases can sit directly onto any roofing membrane and will not cause damage. On the ground; they can be screwed down through fixing holes or concreted into place using the flange.
This two part component can be simply twisted to the correct degree of camber where it will deals with slopes up to 5 degrees off the horizontal.
