Bi-directional Glass Re-enforced moulded gratings
Our standard range of moulded gratings offer excellent corrosion resistance and durability.
Used as flooring; they are quartz grit coated, which when tested in accordance with BS7976-2 2002 provide a Pendulum Test Value (PTV) well in excess of the 36 required to provide a Low Slip Potential.
When used as fencing, walls or barriers; they are uncoated.
Standard colours are Grey, Yellow and Green. Blue is also available for drainage applications.
A wide range of gratings are available from PLURA. Standard sizes for general purpose grating include 25mm, 38mm and 50mm mesh size with various thicknesses depending upon loadings required. However; this is not the extent of our sizes and thicknesses, other highlights include ‘Micro-mesh’ at 8mm x 8mm, ‘Mini-mesh’ at 20mm x 20mm and rectangular mesh at 100mm x 25mm all for flooring and/or fencing/barriers. Most sheets are gritted for use as flooring and walkways but are also available Un-Gritted when being used as Screens or fencing. For an up to date range please download our Datasheet from the information below.
We have a full range of fixing clips to suit our moulded gratings. Made from 316 grade stainless steel they come in a variety of shapes, sizes and types depending upon the nature of the grating used, fix required and what the grating is fixed to.
LIP OVER TYPES
Fits down inside the opening in the grating and lips over the top of one of the adjoining ribs to clamp the grating down.
Fits down inside the opening in the grating and lips over the top of the adjoining ribs on either side to clamp the grating down.
Sits down inside the opening in the grating and lips over the top of all the adjoining ribs to clamp the grating down.
Sits down inside the opening in the grating and the top flange sits over all of the surrounding ribs to clamp the grating down.
Sits on top of the surrounding ribs to clamp the grating down. The domed head and counter sunk crosshead bolt (rather than hex head bolt) means there is no resultant trip hazard. As this fixing does not sit inside the hole openings of the grating; it is not matched to the grating mesh sizes and fits all.
Used on the edges of two gratings to join them together. The clip sits down inside the opening on one of the gratings, lips up and over an adjacent rib, then over the adjacent rib of the next grating returning down inside this adjacent grating and down and back under to return to the original grating to be fixed.
Works with top mounted fixing clips. The ‘J’ clip acts to off set the action of the clamp to a nearby supporting I Beam or C Channel when one is not directly underneath the top fixing.
